Well they have w long shut down flat section of fresh adphalt leaving my work. I did not realize the latest mxpro obdII dongle had a 0-60MPH app. I tried three runs:

1st run I tried using OD button , no brake just foot to floor. ( app only always start from 0mph) ran a 9.0 , kinda what i expected:
    Screenshot_20241003_223836.jpg
Next run , same style but not in OD:
    second run 8.65
Last run, no OD. I BRAKE TQ'D FOR SPLIT SECOND UNTIL IT STARTED TO START SPINNING. 7.56. This is a stock 02 rclb v8 4x4 , with a K&N and a airbox mod. Only other mods are 4.30 gears . Not using locker obviously. Its about 69* outside. Road was flat. 300 Lbs toolbox + my friend and I. 3/4 tank if 93 oct. Im pretty sure it coyld click off a high 6 with no box, no passenger, maybe ditch tailgate, less fuel. Truck is loaded whith chains, pipe wrenches etc. But not liaded w payloaf. . The gears do wonders for these old girls..Screenshot_20241003_230733.jpg Screenshot_20241003_224658.jpg

Using the Track Addict app, the best 0-60 I've done in my 03 was 6.1sec.
But I've got long tubes, TRD duals, Volant intake and DD 12 holes. But mine is 2wd AC on stock tires.

As soon as I can get my 4.10's installed, I'll try to break my best 0-60.
Also still hopeful my ECU will be tuned in the future.

That sounds right. I just figured they were slower. Im 41 though. A low 7 was approaching fast when I was 16. A 5 second run does not impress kids these days. I think playing with launch and regular tires /reg weight it could run a 7.2. I saw this from 15 years of drag racing and how a few hundred pounds makes a differwnce. The vvti rc must be pretty sporty.

I got refunded. But the guy had two other customers with ECU's the same calibration ID as mine. So he said he was still going to work on it, but it's on the back burner.

I don't think a lowered 2wd Tundra would fair well in the cinders :(
But the 06 4x4 should be back in business soon. I'm hopeful I'll get the call to come pick her up tomorrow or Monday.
I really need her sooner than later, so I have time to break in the new gears (again) before Merus. I don't know why I always have to break in gears a few days before a wheeling trip. It's a PITA

Math check out on trap speed calculator. The non vvti trucks do NOT feel like they trap in the low 90's lol. Man my old gti w bolt on trapped 96 mph and I thought I was big willy lol

Break in gears? I just chaned fluid at 250 miles. 750 miles, 1500 miles. Then back to reg. Did i miss a page in fsm? My 4.30 are Yukon I think or ECGS. The dude gave me his invoice but I was in a rush.

    IIRC
The nitro gears break in was 500 miles under 50mph, with the caveat that you have to stop and let the diff(s) cool for 30 mins after an hour of driving.

Best I ever got was an 8.7, with a fair amount of braketorque. No passengers or load. Just a tad disappointing as I wouldn't have thought it would be so far off the 8.0 mark.

    It's old.

8.0 is right there. My first attemp was a 9.1. In OD it kinda shifted slow from 1-2. I brake tq'd for split second until it barely started to due one wheel peel and releases for the best run.

while I have not timed mine, I am impressed and it saved my butt when a dumb driver made a mistake and I had to stomp on it to get out of his way. It is also faster than my v6 4runner....and my ghia does 0-60 in about 25 seconds :)

This is definitely something I also appreciate. While it may not accelerate the fastest the response to throttle input is really good in my opinion. Especially compared to brand new cars.

Same story with me- had to mash the pedal to get out of someone’s way. Instant shift from 2-1 and instant acceleration.
