Hi everyone! I'm new here :)

I have a 2022 Toyota Hybrid (TRD). I love my truck, but I've had the recurrent issue of the side shield that covers the automatic seat buttons on the driver side! I've had my truck for less than a year, so it's so upsetting that I have to have this ugly cracked part on my truck.

I hope Toyota figures this out some day, seems like it's been happening for years.

Welcome and greetings from Minnesota. Repairs should be covered under warranty. Although it’s still irritating. Post a few photos of your Tundra.

Welcome! Get the dealer to fix it while under warranty. Glad to hear that you otherwise love the truck.

Welcome from OKC! Yeah, you aren't alone with the cracked seat trim. Just hope you don't join the failed engine bearings club or the failed rear main seal club.

The first time it cracked it was covered. The dealer I took it to the second time told me he is "trying" to get his management to approve the repair. I'm wondering if he is trying to hold out for me to reach my 1 year mark in hope to avoid covering it.

My 2000 does the same thing. It’s got a zip tie in it and I have to replace the friction push pin behind it every so often. Guess they haven’t caught onto the issue yet.

Got the same issue. I got the cover crack twice. First time the dealer replaced the part. The second crack just happened last week. Hope the dealer can replace again. For the price of the truck, this piece should be more strong. Hoping Toyoya came with a solution.
