‘24 Driver Folding Mirror Whistle

I bought a ‘24 Limited. There is a noticeable high pitch whistle coming from the driver side mirror. The dealer also noticed the whistling but was unable to isolate the location (can’t change the mirror as it’s not under warranty and not recall yet). I tried taping the gaps up front and the interior where the mirror pivots and still having the whistling noise. When I taped the front gaps it stopped it for a while then in gusting condition it would start again.

I see a few people had the same issue, any recommendations.

Yeah I have tried most of those DIY and still no joy. Was wondering if there were any other inputs.

And correct, I was advised by my dealer the whole casing + mirror was not covered until a recall is pushed by Toyota

 

Bs... Several forum members did have their mirrors replaced, however I don't believe that any of them reported that the issue was resolved by replacing the mirror. It usually ends up being poor quality rubber window runner or poor installation of it
