So, this is my first Tundra!

I'm based in Eastern NC but Travel, next stop is Roanoke VA!

I still own a 3rd Gen '01 4runner SR5. Got it at 130k and it’s at 280k now. I hate to leave my baby, but I fell in love. The rack boot started leaking aft. ($300 to replace the rack.

I was ready for a full-size truck (wifey wants to pull a boat soon, dreaming? lol).

I did almost everything to that 4runner. A shop ever did the timing belt, and a few bits while they were there. Water pump, radiator and thermostat. Looking to maybe sell the 4runner at some point. SO much sweat and love into that thing. Shout out to Timmy the Tool man and TR4.org <3

    Anyway, on to the Tundra.

It’s a '15 2.5 Gen Crewmax , I got in December 2022. It had 78K miles at the time. It has a rough country lift. :-/ I don't recommend anyone buy a truck with mods but. I tend to make what I have work and have the tools in general if needed so. I pulled the trigger I mean, it's a Toyota, right? :)

Just did a trans pan drop, replaced pickup “filter”, cleaned magnets.

From what I can tell the trans had been overfilled since I got it. (Or I suck at measuring from a Tupperware container xD)

With the truck warm it dropped fluid like crazy (from the 5mm hex headed check plug thing) in a straight downpour for a few seconds.

I was really worried, then it died out to a slower flow, and I closed the check port back up.

Anyway. She shifts "right" and faster now.

Fluid doesn’t look like burnt oil, anymore. smh.

Happy to have white lightning! [real original name, right? ;)]

    :)
