Rear shocks were replaced about two years ago. Truck rarely halls a load and when done it’s short term and within the rated ability. The ride isn’t as smooth as I would like and wondered if a spring replacement would improve the performance.

Springs just support the weight, so unless they are sagging and wont hold load it is probably shocks and maybe other related bushings in suspension/steering. depending on age and miles.

Typical factory or stock replacement shocks last anywhere from 40-8Ok miles so they could need replacement. Tires condition, load rating and tire pressure also play into a smooth ride fwiw.
