Craigslist Scam

I found the TSS wheels that I love and want on Craigslist for $1100.00 with tires. I knew it was too good to be true. At first I thought maybe they were stolen. So I texted and called....no replies. So I did what I do great.
Here's the first ad and then others I found. I had my hope's up for half of the day but then realized it can't be true so I started to investigate.



Wonder what his deal is. Some people just suck!

Not only that, look at them bogus emails. I don't buy or sell craigslist. Ebay is pretty legit, just do a little investigation. Glwp

 

Those are legit Craigslist emails, that's how you reply to Craigslist. The cell phone numbers are "Burner" phones.....pay as you go phones, not like the ones we have that you get a monthly bill.

 

Still saving for new wheels elsewise id sell you mine. Good luck though!

Same ad running in Columbus Ohio CL, looked like a scam. Sad.

 

There is a lot of scams on Craigslist. They message you back and want your email address. Then they hack your account and possibly steal your identity. Becarfull on Craigslist. Been through this with a camper

 

Too good to be true is all over craigslist. It is either people trying to get you to wire money to them, or they are casting a wide net to get a bunch of email addresses to sell to spammers. That being said, anytime I see a price that is way too good to be true I move along. But if it is just a good price and lists an actual location it is probably legit

 

He'll most likely tell you to wire him the money with the shipping price included and he'll get them out to you. He wont have paypal or anything else except for accepting western union. What a douche.

 

People are saying there is no reply when you text the number. It seems like a Data Collection scam

 

Lots of scams on Craigslist. I've seen stuff that I was interested in but they want you to IM them. Then they have your cell number and that's the start of robocall/solicitation/etc. call-hell. If I can't email the person, I'm not interested. If they keep emailing you, you can set it up so their emails automatically go into the trash can.

 

Some things are too good to be true. I want to sell my LED fogs from my 2019 here but have to wait 30 days to sell on the forums so I have to use craigslist

 

Another easy way to find out if he was full of shit is to copy and paste the picture into google. It will search the web for that same photo. If someone can’t take their own pictures 9/10 times it’s a scam.

 

Finding exact situation while shopping for a horse trailer. Google search image is always a good tool.
