Just bought a new 2018 Off Road with tow package.
Well towing a 7500lb RV first time test.
    Warning light came on
Function problem. ( I can’t recall what the message said)
    Lost trailer brakes
Lights continued to work but no brakes.
    Anyone else experience this ?
Toyota wants me to bring the trailer in but I explained “your asking me to break the law by dragging a 7500lb RV in with no brakes.” Why can’t they just scan codes and explain problem ??
    Cheers
    Brad

Read through one of the many "trailer disconnected" threads in the towing section. There is a lot to read, but you will have many answers in there.
