2012 4.6L stuck in limp mode. I was able to clear it and drove it for 3 months with no issues but now it came back and will not go away each time I clear it.

Dealership recommends to replace both pumps and both valves along with the upgrade snorkel hose to be replaced. I was given dealers cost price and labor about $1500.SmartSelect_20190130-235750_Gallery.jpg
I know what needs to be replaced and Amazon has the valves around the same price but offers a 3 yr warranty for $35.00 extra for each valve.
There is no warranty for the pumps but amazon is about $70.00 cheaper.
These are OEM Original Toyota manufacturer parts.
I am looking to install parts myself to save the labor charge.
Has anybody replaced these parts on this year truck? If so, please send me any pointers.
Also, does anyone know using the bypass kit can do any harm? I am located in Miami so we don't have any emission test here?
Would you rather put a band-aid fix or replace the parts with OEM parts.
What would you Tundra owners do?
    Thanks for your feedback!

I knew this was a problem when I bought my Tundra and I still keep meaning to buy the bypass kit. From what I have looked into, it doesn't cause any CEL's, and inspection stations here in Texas would never know.

Plus it prevents a $1500 repair bill. I tried to have Toyota look at my pumps, but I was 2 months outside the extended warranty period and Toyota Corporate gave me the middle finger.

I have 2012 Tundra 4.6 also. This nearly caused an accident. I was changing a lane in heavy traffic and suddenly there was no acceleration. It seemed like the truck wasn't shifting into gears correctly. First I thought the transmission was going. Took the truck to Toyota, and the truck received a diagnosis from them (for $130.) that it has a p2440 code which can be fixed for a repair cost of $2800. They said air injection valve bank 1 to be stuck, has debris and possible water injection. The diag also shows a p2433 and p1604, was told these codes are included with the stuck air valve(s). Toyota said the truck can go into limp mode as a result. Wondering what causes this limp mode. Is this a mechanical type problem or is this electronic programming causing no acceleration or throttling to occur?
I purchased vehicle from toyota, it has 97,000 miles on it. I've always taken great care of it and have taken it into the dealer for all scheduled maintenance dates. They said it was out of warranty by about 5 months.

I replace both pumps and codes shows 2440 pending which means 1 valve stuck open. I will be calling Hewitt to order a bypass .
