So I have been up and down the forum and the interwebs for the past 4 hours now and I have a plan of attack, but I could use some help on the nittygritty bits of it.
So the goal of upgrading is to get the following:
    • cameras (front and back)
    • headunit that is android auto compatible and cheaper
    • retain use of factory speakers and jbl amp
    • get shit for headunit I am choosing;)
Now with the goals in mind I have searched and found my headunit of choice on none other than aliexpress. Bear with me it might end up working fine.
The headunits reviews, specs, and the product description have me tempted enough to throw some money at it. I know I need a bypass module so that I can replace the factory headunit with this one and retain the jbl amp functionality, but I don't know what one to use.
Also it says that it has built in steering wheel control adapter that supports analog signal.
If anyone could help me with what wiring harness/ bypass harness I need that would be great. Ill be the guinea pig and test out the cheaper headunit. Who know might turn out to perform as described. Btw would like to figure this out before the sale ends in 2 days.

LSS Need to find wiring harness/headunit bypass for 2nd gen jbl system.

    Thanks all,

I'm in the same boat as you, and only recently started looking at this route because OEM nav is too expensive and doesn't have enough features. I have a 2007 TSS Crewmax with the JBL 12 speaker system and I too want BT, Backup cam, and I want CarPlay.

    To answer your question:

Here's the catcher, you have to buy a headunit that has at LEAST 2 pre-amp outputs. This is not a problem for me since my Nex1330 has 3.

    Good luck my man.
