For those who have installed the Toytec adjustable shackles, did you find that the nuts were incredibly difficult to thread onto the bolts? So much so that I'm afraid they're getting stripped. This is the case with all four bolts, so I'm guessing it's intended to keep things tight.

I don't remember them being like you describe.

I remember em being pretty easy to get threaded on, though I did tighten em with an air wrench...if ya had a bolt that was the same size (that didn’t come with the shackles) you could thread the nuts on and see if you have a similar problem.

If I remember correctly they are a “lock nut” style nut so they will thread on hard after being started. This is normal.

They’re locking nuts, are you doing this in the cold? It shouldn’t feel like when put a nut on at a slight angle and crank it down anyway stripping it along the way, but there should be some uniform tension. Undo and inspect the bolt closeup.

As a few have stated, they are a locking nut design.. Made to be a good snug fit overall. I would recommend double checking to insure they are not going on cross threaded.

    Thank you,

mine threaded pretty hard but it was because they are locking nuts like previously stated. The only complaint I have with them is if you have them on the 1" setting which I just switched to,there was a squeak and I posted it on here and a few members told me it was the shackle rubbing on the bed bolts which it was so I had to grind them down while on the truck because it was just easier at that point not to mention the weather here in Chicago has been horrible so with that being said I destroyed the look of the shackle. Kind of a poor design on that and looks like it could've been easily fixed where they make them.
