Either one of your renditions would be fine. I am curious as to the durability of chrome over paint. Like I said, bumper ends should match whether it be chrome or paint. Have fun!

I'll be the odd ball.. I actually prefer your trucks look the most. I have CM rear and it doesn't match the chrome front. Would have made more sense to chrome the back. Getting bugs and garbage off chrome much easier than paint and it always cleans perfectly.

Remember when black bumpers were for the cheaper work versions of trucks? If you had painted one, somebody would have said, "Don't do that.. I'll scratch it while using it and it'll look like hell"

Times have changed. You watch .. Chrome is coming home... Already seeing it. Lol

Hmmmmm? Now if I just chrome the rear bumper ends I’ll be finished. For now just subsequent layers of sodium chloride and I’ll be color matched, frame included.

    CM or Black.

I deleted all the chrome off of my 2019 Platinum, including side steps, except the lug nuts and the chrome outer ring on the LED headlamps (going to go with 2019 TRD PRO headlamps).

The chrome door handles being a fingerprint magnet drove me nuts.

I think in the opposite. Color match the surround and bulge and leave the bumpers chrome. I like color matched bumpers but I’m also old-school and like trucks with chrome bumpers. Less like a car.

:rofl:I like chrome and all but that right there should be illegal. That’s like driving around flashing a mirror at everybody. It does look kind of cool though. It would get old in about an hour.

Yup! I like my stock badging. When enough people have that “clean look” they all look the same again. Plane Jane

Plus the plasti dip is removable when you tire of it. Oh it’s not fashionable anymore? Later black emblems.

First of all, is the wife OK?
As for color choice, as long as you choose the combo that you like best, it’s the right decision.
That said, I’m old fashioned (and a grandfather:)) so I like the chrome. That was something drew me to my truck. I think I’m even going to replace the CM rear covers with chrome. I really like the look and it’s more durable than CM.
All of the combos suggested are really nice. Whatever you pick will look great!

Thanks for the suggestion @15whtrd but one of the rear covers already has a place where it got bumped and rubbed a tiny bit of paint off so I had to touch it up.

I guess I'll keep it a surprise until it's done. Insurance adjuster looked at it Friday which was allot sooner than expected. I was able to still make the changes I wanted today. Thanks for all the pics and opinions.
