Well, was washing the truck today and appears that I have a cracked spoke and have no idea how it happened. I have not hit anything and I do not off road the truck. It sees interstate roads every day. Sitting on 305/65/18 KO2s. Has anyone else experienced this with rims from KMC? They were dealer installed on my 2017 new on the lot. So it's basically 2 years old... Wondering if it was a weak area and just now decided to crack? I think this would fall under their structural warranty, but not sure? I will be contacting them shortly. Any advice would be appreciated.

Hopefully the dealer takes care of you or the company. That’s scary.

Kind of an ironic picture with the made in the usa logo on the tire right over the crack.

It should say “wish it was made in the usa”

Looks dangerous, good idea to always wash parts and check them out while doing so

    Lost track after #1.
Seems like a manufacturing defect. Good luck!

Did you buy it locally? Curious how this plays out. Bought mine from Toyota North Charlotte.

They were installed by Toyota dealership in Asheville. Truck was new on the lot with 3/1 kit and wheels. From what I gather from KMC website, I must contact an authorized dealer. I'll be reaching out to the dealership in Asheville to see if they are authorized dealer or if they had a shop locally in Asheville install them. Truck had 15 miles on it when I bought it new. Was hoping someone on here works for a rim shop that deals KMC rims to help me in the right direction...

I would solely go thru the selling dealer, that's where you purchased the vehicle with added parts. They will give you a loaner the tire shop wont and you will have a record of repairs on file in Toyota's system if anything else happens. Just my .02

Good luck. Keep us posted. Like others have stated. Toyota dealer involvement is a must. Peace. D

Agree. I did a dealer search on the KMC website and the Toyota dealership that installed these is an authorized KMC dealer. Will be calling Toyota tomorrow. They are closed today.

I called the dealership this morning. Service manager called me back around lunch and said he spoke to the wheel manufacturer. He sent me to a discount tire store locally to file a claim since they are an authorized KMC dealer. I was in and out in 10 mins. New wheel is on the way from NJ. Just had to pay the shipping. Not a bad deal at all! Surprised it was that easy! They will be sending the defective one back to manufacturer. Rep at discount said that was most definitely a defective rim!

Agreed but also glad to hear they are taking care of the problem with relatively little hassle on your end.
