@eccracer104 , when's the Christmas tree inferno, Fri or Sat night? I might stay later just to see that.

 

I'll be up to caravan out, from any place along I-8, east of I-15 (prefer near or east of SR-67). Not gonna try to follow @papasmurf's route though because I think he'll blast through the desert and I'll be driving the BFT (inferno 2WD) and think that's something I'll wait to do in Banner/HulkSmash (green 4x4 pending LT).

So if you want to blast a desert route, I may go in seperately. Can we text or PM on a Thursday, finalize?

 

Absolutely. I was hoping to meet Bruce at Plaster so he can point us in the right direction before he blasts off. Then us mere mortals can mosey along at "short-travel" speeds and get there when we get there.

 

Good with this IF it's 2WD accessible. You know I'm not skeered of dirt. But also, I don't want to tempt fate by doing something to screw up the BFT when I've got a great stunt-double in the works.

looks like @dirtydeeds is gonna meet us at the 79/8 intersection saturday morning to run out with us. That should be fun.

Im planning on leaving my house in lakeside at 7am. Going to fill up at the Mobile on the north side of the 8 at Lake Jennings Rd. If you all meet me there then we will pick up Keith at the 8/79 and then hit plaster city, there is a gas station as we exit the 8 ill suggest topping off there real quick, i normally burn 1/4 tank getting there from my house.

Once we hit plaster at around 8:15 we will air down and hit dirt

as far as those worried about speed and the trail being hard on the way to superstition... dont worry its 2wd friendly. I will be going fast, but ill make a gpx file with the track on which way im going, If you have Gaia for your phone i can email the file.. its really easy to use. Let me know if you want it if not here is the track in visual form

Oh and for those who happen to have either truck mounted or handheld vhf radios... i operate on 146.420 freq i have a 65watt base in my truck and a long-range antenna, can normally reach out to about 10-12 miles depending, if you have a 5watt handheld I can only hear you if you are within 1-2 miles max. But that is the primary comms I use offroad
