2015 gps HU

I have a 2015 tundra DC without gps. I have found a 2015 HU that has gps for sale. I read on a forum that all Tundras that had an option for gps was installed with a gps antenna weather it had gps or not. Is this true? I would like to buy and install this HU (looks pretty simple) but do not want to cobble something together. I really do not want or need a high dollar gps/radio. If anyone knows about the antenna please let me know. Thanks

 

Yes, you have the gps antenna already.

Thanks. Was the swap as easy as it looked? I assume I will have to resync my phone and read all the phrases again. Was there any issue with registering the different HU?

 

Yes the swap is super easy, plug and play. You will have to bluetooth in your phone. The only thing I did was the firmware update from Toyota. Highly recommended due to these radios having rebooting issues.. I didn't register because I don't use the apps, I simply stream from my phone. Hope that helps.
