Solid bar stock? For real? What does that thing weigh? Got to be 200lb +. Just curious, what do you want this on your truck for, not judging, just asking. Also, how does it fasten to the frame? Anything less than 3/4" bolts is undersized if this is truly solid stock.

They're a little pricey but I'm impressed with the build quality. Should last a long time. They also claim to be reversible for winter time to help keep the cold at bay. We'll see ...

Okay, so put on over 800 mile this past week on my Tundra with my TRD dual exhaust. Don't think there will be any difference in MPG's (I expect it will get worst if I keep putting my foot down on the throttle). Performance wise, any horse power gains or possible losses is small enough that I can't tell a difference. Throttle feels lighter but I'm guessing it's because I'm stepping on it more often now. Sound wise, I am alittle disappointed that at idle it's barely louder than stock. Between idle and 2,000 rpm's it's again pretty mild with a fluttering exhaust note. Once you get over 2,500 rpm's she starts to come to life and sounds very nice. I've had a few people tell me she sounds great. Quality of the system is very good but not perfect. My driverside pipe seems to be about 3/4" longer and won't match up with the otherside perfectly. I tried adjusting how the system hangs on the hangers without any success. Overall impression, nice system that sounds great over 2,500 rpm's. 8 out of a possible 10

..so this is happening; to be continued, completed, and unveiled soon -- very soon. It was very nerve-racking initially drilling into the roof but now that the moment has passed I have no regrets. I think I did a good enough job of keeping the holes from leaking water into the cab. I went a bit overboard, too.

You seriously have no idea how badly I've been patiently waiting to get my Defender bumper to my door. :( I heard it was off to powdercoat a few days ago so I'm extremely giddy with excitement. I have a Warn ZEON 12-S Platinum winch I'm going to stuff in there hopefully, too.

Oh I bet you're excited! Yeah just waiting on a batch of bumpers at the powder coater, you should have it soon. The Zeon Platinum's are badass, we have the 10-S Platinum in our 4runner bumper, its a sweet winch for sure!

Do the husky mats go all the way under the rear seat in the DC? I don't have a storage box under the seat and need the mats to cover as much as possible with the seats raised? I thought from a pic i saw, they would only give full coverage if the seats were down..

    Thanks

Yes, my Husky mats have full coverage under the rear seat. I took out my storage box just to get more room.

Steve, There is some minor gaps (maybe it's more likely they aren't quite as tight as the OEM) on both sides that match one another. That's probably why it doesn't bother me badly because I'd feel different if it was just one side.

I'll edit this post later today with a photo showing you what I mean.

Here's a pic from each side ... on the bottom half you can see silver, where on the top half its darker as the panel behind the lamps are rolled. The gaps are equal know both lamps so it doesn't look off. You'll notice it when you first mount the lamps when compared to the OEM lamps but soon get over it.
