I know others have used the KC Cyclones as under hood lights, but I stumbled on an idea to make it a little more versatile while walking through Home Depot. I found these little magnetic hooks that are the same diameter as the Cyclone, with a removeable bolt right in the middle.

This got me to thinking about the old chevy retractable underhood light with the with the magnetic base, those things were handy, in the event you needed them somewhere other than under the hood. So, I removed the hook and put the Cyclone in it's place.

Now I can mount it anywhere a magnet will stick, I just need to add some wire and a couple alligator clips or something similar to attach it to the battery.

I bought one for same reason, felt like I need 2 of em, didn't seem too bright just one, and have yet to put on, and someone on here when I first joined put on a door switch, so that when you pop hood it comes on automatically, forgot who did that
