For all who are interested, here are the results from Blackstone Labs on my oil sample sent in last month. My CM had 100,183 miles on the clock when I changed the oil. Miles on the oil were 23,090, 12 days shy of one year since last oil/filter change. No oil used, no oil added between changes. Amsoil 0W-20, and Amsoil filter.

Blackstone explains the numbers on this link https://www.blackstone-labs.com/services/report-explanation/

Think I'll also post this up in a new thread......

Albeit I'm as surprised as the Blackstone guys but results speak for themselves. Hats off to you ... You got one healthy truck. Still can't say I'd recommend this for everyone but it seems to me you got a good combination of a healthy truck, good upkeep, and quality components.

I will be changing mine as it states in the owners manual every 10k miles (non FFV). Toyota dealership provides lifetime powertrain and engine warranty as long as I use them for their recommended maintenance. They also offered me free oil changes for life. As I plan on keeping this truck till the wheels fall off I think it’s a pretty good deal. For anyone interested I purchased from Fred Anderson Toyota in Raleigh, NC.

I'll chime in here just for kicks.

These newer vehicles that have the longer intervals have a higher overall oil capacity than their predecessors. I suspect this is allowing a 10k conservative interval through dilution of contaminants essentially.

My 2008 Odyssey requires 4.5 qts with filter at change. My 2016 Sienna, 6.4 qts for the same change on a similar sized V6 engine. Almost 2 quarts more.

Tundra is the same story. My 1998 5.4L F150 is 6.0 qts with filter at change. The Tundra, 7.9 qts for a change with filter.

I'm not saying the 10k intervals are OK for everybody (in fact I haven't been able to bring myself to do them either). I do skip the filter change every other oil change at 5k though.
