Do I have to disconnect the battery to remove the ECM, or anything else I should know before hand??

    It's really dark
For the ECM I would disconnect the battery. Be really careful with those connectors, they are brittle and hard to get out because there is crap in the way. I think there are 5 or 6.

Anytime you do anything regarding electrical or potential its always good practice to disconnect batteries.

Keeps on throwing codes, started with O2 sensors, replaced all, then codes for misfire on different plugs, replaced all the plugs and coils, now last code was P0100, MAF/VAC,cleaned maf and fixed two minor vacuum lines, still same code again, replaced maf, still code keeps coming up, scanner said possible ECM, pulling in
