Tundra-Kubota-Dec-2018.jpg Purchased a Kubota L3901HST tractor and went to pick it up today. Between the trailer weighing in right at 5,000 lbs and the tractor at 4000 lbs, I pulled it 160 miles through the Shenandoahs without any issues. Granted I was stressed about pulling this much weight, but the 5.7L had no issues whatsoever pulling it. I was impressed with its ability to tow as well as its ability to take that much tongue weight (about 800lbs).

Why so much tongue weight?? Seems crazy. Also, why no drop hitch. Too much sag

Had to use what I had available. The trailer was my neighbor's, built in 1970 and is a monster. I kept the tractor as far back as I could so I didn't add anymore weight to the tongue.

I have a Kubota Grand L 3940 cab tractor, FEL and BH I pulled on a 18' landscape trailer with my 2013 DC. Had to be close to 9k total and was pretty impressed and that was before installing airbags. After the airbags I pull a 28' 8k travel trailer with no issues as well. MPG goes to hell but other than a diesel not sure what wouldn't under those loads.

Over payload capacity with that tongue weight?

Doesn’t look like it needs a drop hitch to me. It might if he had bags, AAL or Timbrens.
