    I do not have a LSD as confirmed by dealer.He told me to use 80w-90w. Can I use 75w-90w? First I need to learn how to spell question

    Yup you'll be fine, but most stores will stock 80w-90.

    90w is spec’d on the rear diff for our 1st Gens. Problem is that nobody (even the stealerships) carry straight 90w. They use 75w-90 which is fine for the front diff and the transfer case, but not the rear.

    Closest you are going to find anywhere you go online or auto store weight wise is Lucas 80w-90 which is what I use in my rear diff. I have LSD and the Lucas works good. You can use it too without LSD. Avoid the 75w-90 if possible.

    I know all this because I just went throught it all on my 02’.
