Just bought a tundra for the first time, and I love it. But i thought i heard the tundra has brake assist? I was wonder if this is true, I have the sensor that tells me when I'm to close but wondering if it brakes for me if i forget.

Welcome to the club. I dont know that I'd refer to it as brake assist as much as emergency breaking. Its not something to rely on in stop and go traffic.

Variable Speed Cruise Control will help you maintain distance from the car in front of you and will remove power/brake to compensate for another vehicle entering your lane although it is not a feature on all of the Tundras...

Auto brake happens only in extreme situations, I wouldn't rely on it to avoid a crash, most likely it would just manage to scrub a little speed before impact
