Hello All, really interested in the Tesla style head unit that Phoenix Android Radio offers. Group buy started today, but very worried about any issues with it working properly in a 1794 CM 2018.
If anyone has any first hand experience, please share.
BTW, group buy just started and is going on until Oct. 27. Screenshot_20181021-005557_Samsung Internet~2.jpg

There is a very long thread in the audio section of the forum about the Android headunit.

Are you sure? Because there is a 48,000 page thread in the audio sub-section that seems to be mostly full of glitches and quirks...

Yes. I personally installed a Lexus unit (older). It had some minor quirks but I got through them. I'm starting a forum now to help everyone. They just need to have better support. Their units have come along way since a few years ago though. Newer units don't have issues.

Anyone know of a smaller head unit that doesn’t replace any of the oem knobs (I like them) - just replaces the screen with one of same size & much better software? Essentially just looking to replace the crappy software that the Tundra comes with.

the knobs are part of the OEM deck, so no. I went with a Pioneer unit over the Android, so far it has been trouble free

I have this one, just waiting on my new Microntek (MTCE) motherboard that has Android 8.0 w/ 4gb ram/64gb storage. The previous one came with Android 7.1.2 2gb RAM/32gb and wasn't a MTC type motherboard. I have had zero issues with the MTC Units, but can't vouch for other Android units.
