Looks awesome. But if it was my truck, i wouldn't do the eyelid strip. Take a night pic of it and see how it looks.

Just little stuff today, unless you include all the time it took to adjust the bedcover so it would open and close smoothly in one motion.

    Receiver plug

And shorter antenna. Not sure I like it yet.

Installed the OEM black emblem overlays for the Tundra, 5.7, 4x4 and Limited emblems. Ordered the paint-color matched door handles, and the interior Oh Shit handle. Gonna order the mirror caps next and possibly the 2.5-3” leveling kit.

2019 Platinum Grill from Cool Springs in SSM on my brand new 2019 SR5 SSM CM. Need opinions as it doesn't match at all to me. Appears to be 2 totally different colors of silver. If it were just a few shades off I could live with it but seems like completely different silvers to me...

Installed the husky liners. The rear piece doesn't seem to fit very well... Any ideas on how to make it lay flat?

Sounds good. It's in the 30s here so I may have to wait until warmer weather.... Or use a heat gun... Might try that later

Mine looked the same, had the X-act contour full coverage rear. I had the same fitment issue at the corner of the hump. I live in Houston, and after a couple of weeks of hot weather it conformed much better to the hump, although I will say it is not perfect. Not bad enough for me to mess with it though.

Good to know. I couldn't decide if I should send them back and try another one or just wait and see if it'll smooth out. Sounds like I just need to be patient.

See same when I 1st installed mine. It eventually got better over time and that's only with NJ heat. Enough to at least not feel the need to mess with it. If u decide u can't wait longer, rest assure husky is great to deal with.

Installed my Platinum LED cupholder insert. Thanks @1UPPER for this and great installation instructions. I love this thing. Its perfect in my truck.
Also installed a new LED bolt light above my mirror controls, the old one was too bright and started to flicker @Jim LE 1301 , I'll keep you posted how this one does. I had 3 of these so I'll try this one and see how it does. I also wrapped this one in black electrical tape and cut a tiny hole for light to pass through.
While I had the console apart I threw in some mass loaded vinyl sound deadening, also installed a layer under the drivers side carpet and up the firewall to above the pedals. Figured I'd do it while I was there and it only took a couple minutes to cut and install pieces.

I gave the pre-painted route a test run with the mirror caps the week before and they were a spot-on match so I felt okay about dropping major coin on the grill. But I now would caution anyone doing the SSM grill if they were looking for a close match. I wasn't expecting perfection but this is way off. Upside is that the honeycomb portion of the Platinum grill(High gloss & darker, almost black) has a much improved finish compared to the SR5 honeycomb(matte & lighter grey) it came with. I'll just get over it since the absence of the chrome is quite a consolation.

I'll keep it as is I guess because a respray finish never is as durable as factory IMO.

    Thanks

I noticed that on my SSM as well after doing the swap. Seems darker to me.

I was bored as hell today, and got tired of hearing the leather of my driver seat rub against the plastic seat housing, so I just used some female velcro/sticky back to soften her up. Might do this everywhere that leather meets plastic...
