my 2019 is 3 weeks in. When I have the heat on and I am in the mode with heat going to the feet and windshield I notice I am still getting some air flow through the vents in the dash. Is this normal ? Note when its set just to defrost the windshield there is no flow through the dash vents. thx

My 2010 did it and now my 2018 does it. It’s nice at first having most of the heat go to the floor but still a little towards you, but gets annoying after the truck warms up. Someone said if you put it in recirculate it won’t do it.

Every Toyota I’ve owned has done this. 2000 corolla, 2002 corolla, and 14 Camry. You will notice even with the system completely off you get air coming through the main vents at whatever temp you have the dial set at. Press recirculate to turn that off. However, not all vent location settings allow you to use recirculate so not sure if you can do this on just feet. May just be the defrost though. I know I’ll have it on that then when it heats up I turn everything off... have to turn dial back to regular vents to be allowed to light up the recirculate button and ultimately stop myself from roasting.
