He started at 16k, and I wouldn't even go look. Now it's 15k and I might offer 13 if it checks out good. But I hesitant due to mileage.

just getting broke in. The headlights will need replacing since they are all f-d. No big deal. change the fluids and you should be good as long as its got good records. The timing chain should last the time of the motor. I would actually love to find a same vintage/mileage in a RCSB here in about 5 years when I get my house paid off and have it for my daughter to drive when shes old enough...then I may take it when she upgrades. that one doesn't look to be in bad shape. the wheels are showing some age, but I am sure in FL there are plenty of CL deals to be had when you have the cash.

Mileage not a big deal. Check CarFax and take VIN# to nearest Toyota dealer to get any recorded service/recall info. Offer the 13K....I would be hesitant to pay over 14K give or take.

There has been a lot of flooding around Florida in the last year or so. WATCH for signs of it. If you find yourself suspicious in this regard....walk.

The mileage ain't crap. Get yourself comfortable on the truck itself. Then if you can get your price......BUY IT.

That mileage is about middle aged for the 5.7L...but that price is doubled what i'd pay. You can shop around and do better, i bought one with less miles for less than half the price.

That’s a lot of money for a 2009 with that mileage, you can get a lower miles truck for less than that.

That mileage would be worth about $8,000 to me, check Carsguru and Cars.com as well, not just craig's list.

It’s high,...$9500, maybe $10k with the Cap. Should get near 400k out of the drivetrain. Check factory service records.

    Paid $7000 for 07’ DC SR5 4x4 5.7 w/ 242k miles.

@Pinoykillaz , I think that looks like dealer list pricing on a 12k private party sale. Maybe, and I emphasize MAYBE, $13k for the rims and lift.

A lifted truck with stock wheels has little value, and used rims with 30k on the tires don't pull half the $4K list price on CL...

I would ask him for service records. At that mileage there are going to be parts that will most likely need replacing soon. The water pump, starter, and alternator come to mind. Secondly look for rust. Being in Florida doesn't mean it's spent it's life in Florida. Even if it has it could have spent lots of time near the ocean. Check out things like the rear axle and frame. I would also look for wear and tear. The driver's seat (the lower cushion) will show the most wear. When I was looking the people who cared about their truck (or maybe weren't fat) didn't seam to wear out the outside edge of it.

Like someone else said check out the CarFax. It will tell you were the truck spent it's life. Any work done by a dealer and most garages will also be logged in. Look for things like oil changes. The guy said he owned it since 56k so look to see if the oil got changed every 5k or if he was lazy. If it was me I would take my laptop with TechStream loaded and check out the computers. A simple OBD scanner can rest the check engine light(s) but it's not going to clear the faults in the subsystems. If you don't have a laptop with the software on it you could take it to a local garage to do the check. Just for reference I paid less for a '07 4wd SR5 with 150k from South Carolina with no rust at all on it (almost identical but no cap).

No offense, but, I would never buy any vehicle on Craigslist with that many miles, unless it’s being sold by a reputable and verified seller.

With that said, my 2010 Tundra has 209k miles and it still runs like new. The most important thing to consider is the vehicle history. If, it has accident(s), used for anything other than personal use, frequent/regular service history, then, I would stay away from it regardless of price.

Used cars are a gamble, doesn't matter where you buy, best thing to do is take it to a shop that knows the vehicle well. I'm a mechanic, I know Tundras and Land Cruisers and Mercedes very well, since i own them currently, gotta look for someone like me to do your pre purchase inspection.

Well, I'm now a proud Tundra owner. She runs great, well maintained, sort of. Very clean inside and out. Made him an offer of 13K and he said it was lower than he wanted, but knew I would take care of her as he did. So her she is in my yard!!!!
Water pump was changed under extended warranty around 90K. Alternator changed about 10K ago. But still has original spark plugs with 192,000 on them, maybe there due.

I finally replaced the plugs, the original plugs had 192,000 miles. I was surprised at the good condition they were in. I checked the gap of the original and they were at .044 ". If they were the original as the owner told me, then they could have run another 100 K or more. I was glad to change them and made sure to add anti-seize to the threads. Steve

I installed DENSO 3421 (SK20HR11). It was the same plugs that I removed. The owner said when he was getting some other work done, he asked the mechanic to change the plugs. The mechanic pulled one plug and told him he didn't need to change them. He bought the truck with 52,000 on it. I wouldn't think some one would have changed them before he got it.

OP. Thanks for doing the photo complete with numbering. Much appreciated.

From what I've been readying I CAN believe that those are original. WOW.

I'm such old school that I bought eight Denso 3421's two months ago to "be ready" for a plug replacement. I'm at 43,500 right now and in the past (remember my other "car" is a 1997 T100) when I would do plugs at around 30,000 miles. But now I'm fully convinced that those plugs will sit there on the shelf for 80,000 more miles until the Mama Toyota recommended change interval of 120,000 miles.

    Again, thanks.
