I see now. I've never messed with those kind of relays. Just the black ones.

Also yesterday I wired up my light bar to work both with a switch in the cab and with high beams, either one. Now when driving I dont have to reach down to the center console if I want all the light.

I have some LED pods coming soon after Christmas that I am going to replace my fogs with and will do the fog anytime mod at the same time

 

I liked the way it was looking as I was cleaning up from waxing. Tonight I'm gonna go on a drive to try out the new light arrangement, I also adjusted the headlights they were a bit high after 5100s

 

Fancy Screw Uses. These have been on for a few years holding down the warped plastic liner edges. Rust free, strong, and quite stylish.

 

It took me two days but I replaced my dented side panel with a fresh one. This cost me a fraction of the price than going to a body shop and the install was way quicker.

 

Wow I thought only 2nd and 3rd gen tacos could do that. Is your bed composite like theirs too? I wonder if AC tundras can do that. My buddies 01 bed needs some tlc. We been trying to find.a white bed in a junkyard or craigslist.

 

The fender was fully welded down with a bunch of spot welds. It probably had like 30 of them so I had to drill each weld and pry them off to get the fender off. I Just put a couple bolts on the newer fender since I don't have anything to weld it down and I pounded the rest in.

 

Good job! Always nice to see innovators and people pushing the bounds of the knowledge base. Kudos.

Mine just has a hose clamp installed by the previous owner.

I just got those as well! Good luck - I spent like 4 hours messing with them. Both sides were seized on top. Driver side was easy to cut with a sawzall (pro tip, cut under the large washer, between the washer and the bushing). Another pro tip - passenger side is further in and you’ll need a longer sawzall blade unless you’re an idiot like me and you do it manually (which took two hours).

 

Pro tip: don't be affraid to pick up the bed to get in there.

 

Pro tip: grind a spot flat on the old shock shaft and use vise grips to stop it from spinning. Then use a ratcheting box end on top.

Then thank the designers at bilstein who put the Allen head on the shaft.

 

Another protip, try Kroil on seized bolts. This worked for me when doing my rear shocks.

 

I was ok with mine being seized. It's a lot quicker when the stems snap off than trying to remove the nuts completely.

 

But youtubes makes it look so easy. Like its a 15 minute install totally!

 

I'm sure it is easy if you live somewhere where it doesn't snow.
