Well I get off it to go to work, then I pretty much get back to it once I'm home.
Feeling better but not ready to crawl around under my truck yet. Gonna skip snowboarding for a few weekends, snow is getting icy anyway with this warm weather.

Tomorrow I'm gonna clean up my rotors and paint a few small parts. I'll be gone all weekend but when I'm back on Wednesday I'm reassembling.

Here’s a pic I took earlier that gives you an idea. I’ll take a few close ups tomorrow. It’s very solid even though the front mount isn’t completely flush with the bed side.

Thanks for this. I have a shwing case on the driver's side of my 3rd gen. Now I feel nearly compelled to go mess around with fitting it into the 1st gen....

It’s a great product. I bought the passenger side to counter some of the weight on the drivers side. Now I’m contemplating buying the drivers side as well. One for recovery(tow straps, shackles, hitch, tie downs) and the other for everything else.

 

That's how we got here! Chris! You must do your truck and keep in mind that some of us do not have functional healthy ribs!

Was researching online everything it takes to do what you’ve done with your lights last night. Watched some youtubes on it, as well. This is hard work that takes a lot of planning. $$$ too. Good job on this.

 

I did a ton of research and used the write up from @MotoTundra as an aid. It was intimidating until I started the process then everything became familiar. I was able to take my time(waiting for more parts) by using the old cracked housings while I worked on the new ones. I waited till TRS was offering 25% off for Black Friday. It wasn’t cheap but the final light output is well worth the investment!

 

I’m toying with a few headlight ideas as my side markers are fogged/condensated due to cracks and need to be replaced. There are many options that need to be thought through. I’ll post up my options over on the other thread for input from anyone later today.

 

These look handy. I'd be interested in seeing how they'd hold up on a rough, overlanding trip while loaded.

 

I’ll report back after I test them out.

 

Chris, sorry I already can't find it: did you post that you bought Superbumps? I'm having trouble figuring out which are the correct part for a 1st gen. If you know, can you tell me? Also, in Wheeler's looks like they're only sold as part of a full kit-?

 

Even thought they don’t include our 1st gens, these fit: I’m still waiting on mine to arrive with the coilovers but @Darkness, @Rheywood456 and @Swalters have installed theirs.

This is what came with my Icons. Wheelers said they may need trimmed to fit a 1st gen but I didn't need to.

 

That’s what they told me as well. I haven’t noticed anyone having to trim to fit though.

 

Installed a Fumoto drain valve today. Oil changes will be clean and easy once the skids are put on.

 

Finally wired up the flush mount reverse lights:

Haha! I’m just getting all the cheap and simple things done before I tackle the suspension. Plus these projects are a good distraction from the holiday.

Also installed a McGard tailgate lock:

 

That's cool. Personally would have done red, but still cool. Everytime I see you've attached a file I get my hopes up that it's your suspension.
