Dumb i know, but is it bad to have this done in the winter? Wondering if it needs to be over a certain temperature for it to cure properly and time.

    Thanks

I wouldn't think so since it's somewhat flexible and should expand/contract with the metal.

It dries in seconds. Give it 24 hours before you use it to let it cure. you will be fine. If there is anything wrong with it, linex has a good warranty

I don’t think they would apply it if the weather was an issue.

Low temps might increase cure time. Shouldn’t be any other issues.

I would think they would apply in a temp controlled shop. And like others have mentioned, doubt they would take the job if it couldn’t be done.

This. If you take it to a place and they are applying it outside - go find another shop.

Every Line-X job I have had done has been in a temp-controlled booth/shop.

    ^^^Absolutely.

Regardless of bed liner having rubber in it, it still has a paint/adhesive base and nothing can dry/adhere if the temp is too cold. Rule of thumb (at least with painting industrial gennys ) is 55 degrees or higher. Anything lower won’t dry or adhere to the surface.

Agree with everyone above. You shouldn't have an issue aside from a possible longer cure time.

I haven’t done line-x brands, but I’ve sprayed other brands. If they are produced the same way, the two chemicals swirl in a tube and the result is a self-heating chemical reaction. It comes out in a liquid form that is hot enough to leave burns on the skin. I’ve sprayed beds in various temps and the cold has had no effect, but it doesn’t get as cold in Texas as other places.
