Another Katzkin thread

Joined the club today.

 

Katskin has different tiers of leather quality they offer. I visited a few different installers to see some differences and it’s huge. The cheapest option felt like vinyl not leather and the higher you went, the better the leather felt. I ended up with their highest Tuscany leather with gator inserts. I don’t even need an air freshener anymore, truck smells like top notch leather lol.

 

That’s looks nice! I was swayed by the installer not to get the Tuscany. 1 year warranty scared me away. Automotive leather has a 3 year warranty.

Thankyou. First I’ve heard of that, 3 year warranty on mine and couldn’t be happier with it. Figured since I was going through the trouble might as well do it right lol

 

Yeah, they told me the Tuscany only had 1 year 12,000 mile warranty and the automotive leather had 3 year 36,000 mile warranty. Well you got lucky then.

 

I see a few prices. I am looking at the basic katzkins in black installed. What is the best price do you think I could negotiate?

 

eBay $550 and 15% off when they have it.

 

That’s is a SMOKING good deal! I’m sure an upholstere would install for a few hundred dollars around here.
