I've watched several speaker reviews about the Alpine X-S69C and X-S65C, and they sound like just what I'm looking for. Crutchfield says they won't fit in my 2019 Tundra, but I found at least one other site that says that they will. Does anyone have any experience with this line of speakers and putting them in a Tundra? Any information would be helpful. Thanks.

Does it say they are compatible with the 2018? If so, then you should be good to go. Often times websites are just slow to update their compatibility. Unless I’m mistaken, nothing has changed between the 18 and 19 model years. If you end up buying them, make sure to post up a review for us!

Actually, Crutchfield doesn't have the 2019 listed yet. I used the 2018 which, as you said, should be the same. Crutchfield says they won't fit because of depth (3.072" required vs. 2.533" compatible) and major apex diameter (8.766" required vs. 8.699" compatible). Seems to me that this is something you could fix with an insert, but I don't know how much room is between the door panel and where the speaker would be.

Oh gotcha, in that case I’m not much help, sorry... I would assume that a spacer/adapter would work but I haven’t started my audio upgrades yet so I’m not sure on the space back there either.
Maybe give them a call and see if someone there knows what up?

What the hell are you going to use to power those. If the door speakers are anything like their subs they need a shit load of power to sound good.
I had a 10" type x that I couldn't ever get to sound right. Threw loads of power at it and a couple different boxes that were made per spec. Ended up selling it......but damn it looked great with the carbon fiber cone

One problem at a time, my friend, lol. If, and it's a big "if", I can actually use the 6x9s in the front, the 6.5s in the back, I'm thinking I might not actually need a sub (for my music anyhow). I'd think that 2 x Alpine PDX-F6 4-channel amps would push 4 woofers and 4 tweeters. This is in no way set in stone, but it's kind of the road I can picture myself driving down. Excessive? Yes. Will that stop me? I doubt it. If I do the install myself, I'm looking at around $2,500-2,600. I've spent more on more useless crap before. But OMG, I bet it'd sound good.

Just do 6.5" in all 4 doors, swap one 4 channel for a 5 channel and add a 10" sub. Problem solved.

Nah, I don't think I will. I think I'll continue to try and figure out if I can do what I said in my original post, which I believe will be pretty sweet. I do appreciate your advice, though. I went through your build thread, and it seems like you have a really nice setup yourself. How did the sound-deadening work out?
