Installed the new ADD Stealth Fighter front bumper with a @Baja Designs 40" Arc Dual Control

 

I made up my mind today. After being stuck behind some j/o driving a Prius in the pass lane who just refused to speed up or slow down to merge over for many miles, it was like she purposely kept pace with the vehicle next to her just so I couldn't pass and to drive me Fn crazy. This went on for about 5 minutes which felt like 5 hours, it made up my mind. She drove me to do it. This Wednesday I will be installing my tank, compressor and train horns.


This is an upside down metal fuse box replacement with lid that I'll be mounting the compressor and tank on.


This is what will be getting installed. Tank and compressor onto metal hinged fuse box lid and train horns next to factory horns. Tucked nicely away from elements and easily installed.


I'm going no switches or buttons. Want everything all ready on demand. Don't want to have to wait for tank to fill or have to fumble around looking for a switch to hit horn. So I'll be hooking the compressor to fill the tank upon ignition and have the train horn activated when I hit the factory horn on wheel.

B/t the BD lights and train horn I pray for the person who gives me my next case of road rage. That and a couple friends will be getting scared. I will update my build thread upon completion.

Added some led lights to the bed so I can access my storage box at night! With the cover on.

Nice, that's the exact light I have in mine. You won't be disappointed. I also have the BD S8 10" ambers in the sides and smittybuilt 10K winch. BTW, the only shackle that will fit those recovery points are the Warn Epic shackles...

 

I didn't do this today...I did it yesterday. So...I just put the platform up there to see what the fitment would look like, but what I did do was install the RhinoRack Vortex rack for the Retrax XR bed cover.

 

Good to know thank you sir!! What is the limiting factor that doesnt allow regular shackles to work? (haven't tried fitting any yet)

Definitely want the S8's in the future, especially after seeing the nighttime pics you posted, but I need to get through the holidays before I get anymore truck stuff. Not sure what winch I will end up with, but Smittybilt 10k and 12k come highly rated and were high up on my list.

 

That site is very dangerous.

 

The diameter of the hole is the issue. No shackle would fit and I think we ended up calling ADD and they pointed us to the Warn Epic. Also put the D-Ring isolator washers to keep the shackles from banging around.

How much does it weigh? MPG after install?

 

Website says 50lbs. I think I found it.

125 lbs. I am not sure about MPG’s; I don’t track it closely. It’s only 125 lbs. so it shouldn’t impact it much.

 

One panel is 50 lbs.

 

What's your handle on RDC?

 

Oh I see. I got a snug top but I miss that look a truck has without the top. Wish I had known about the diamondback way before. Strong and functional.
