Well, you only need to disconnect the tie rod ends from the spindle for this swap so I think I should be fine as long as I don't touch the eccentrics then.

I don’t think it’s 100% needed, but I did since it was the week before a 3500 mile trip

Is there a good write-up on the bushing replacement, step by step?
    What size fork is required?

I'm heading down this road sometime this winter. My front end has been checked out twice in the last 3 months. Once for inspection and then once when i had new wheels installed/alignment. The 2nd time i specifically asked them to inspect every front end component for wear/play. The only thing they came up with was the steering rack bushings. I've checked them, there's play.

@TexasTundra27 thanks for the reply. I'm looking for a pretty good write-up or a video. I'm very mechanically inclined. I just always like to know what to expect and have the exact tools/supplies I need on hand.

@TexasTundra27 just wanted to follow up. Did this resolve the front end clunk? I already spoke with @Spvrtan and based on his recc. I ordered the pickle fork set. once you get the bottom bushings out, did you just knock the uppers out from the inside?

    Thanks!

Yes it did, I used the pickle fork for the lower bushing and a socket and extension to get the top one out
