So I have the mirrored flag decals alot of u guys have to put under my v8 badge. It's about 4 × 2. The instructions recommend applying in 70 degrees or above. I'm dying to get em on and here in ohio I'm thinking the best shot would be Sunday its predicted to be 50 degrees. If I pull my front end in the garage and use heat from a hair dryer to heat the surface will I be okay or am I just better off waiting until spring?

@DecalsByDesign this is your expertise maybe you could lend a hand ;)

Play my mixtape in the truck while applying. It’s straight fire, so it will warm the truck up more than enough.

It's a small decal. Heat up the metal surface a bit and apply.

    Function before sparkle.
Heat it up a bit. Apply it in the sun and don’t worry about it.

If you are really concerned, find a heated parking garage to park for a few hours and apply it there.

Honestly, a small sticker will do fine at 50. I’ve done 20ft decals at that temp with no issues. You can use a hair dryer if you like for better adhesion, or rub your hand rapidly over the placement spot before application, or put a space heater in the garage and let the whole place heat up.

these decals say to use only a light mist of water. they are tiny originally i was gonna do it dry. ive only applied them dry or with a soap/water mix...
is the general consensus here i should do a wet application? soap or no soap?

In all the wraps I’ve installed, I’ve only used wet applications for large or difficult jobs that I might need to slide it into place. I’d just do yours dry. It will be fine.

DO NOT APPLY IN THE COLD! Heated surface or not, it can damage your truck.

    ....... nah I’m just playin.

They’re all right^ , sorry I’ve been finishing up the last of my big projects! The only thing that’s sketchy in the cold is glass, because if you heat freezing glass, there’s a good chance of cracking. Looks sick! Glad you made it work!
