    It's nice. Sometimes I'll get up around 3am and knock out my work before anyone starts their day. Then it's just monitoring mail and answering the phone. My wife loves that because I'll get all the laundry caught up.

    When I was working from home I would take the kids to school, come home for some emails, eat, hit the gym, come back for more emails and calls, pick up the kids and then kept working from my phone as needed.

    Goddammit I hate renting. Trying to get my dishwasher replaced. No communication between my landlord, the appliance delivery company and the install company. All of them just assume that I'm going to be home in the middle of the day, in the middle of the week...despite me telling landlord I'll be at work (like 99% of everyone else) and they have permission to enter and do their thing.

    I bump off work a bit early to try and sort things out. Dishwasher didn't get dropped off. Installer was just pulling away as I got home. Delivery company says landlord doesn't have a key (umm, yeah they do...they just did their bi-annual inspection last week when nobody was home). I told them I'm home now so they can deliver it.

    We'll see if they show up. If not, I'm denying entry to everyone until a time that is convenient for me. Fuck em all. I'm not dependent on a dishwasher.

    If I owned the house, I'd just buy the damned thing, throw it in my truck and bring it home, do the install myself and call 'er good. Makes me so pissed that it's cheaper to own than rent around here, but I'm not a position to buy right now due to planning a career change.

    Fuck fuck fuck shitty fuck.

    Well, to be fair this is really their only screw-up so far in 2 years or so. They're way better than our previous landlords. But still...why would you expect someone to be home at 11AM on a weekday...in an oilfield town? You're fucking lucky I'm home before 6 most days.

    What really bugs me the most is that I'm doing all the work trying to coordinate this clusterfuck. Landlord basically just ordered the dishwasher and left the rest to sort it's self out. Unbelieveable.
