    bilstein 5100 and airbags
Hello Guys! I have a 07 crewmax 4wd with bilstein 5100s and airbags/ 5100s in the back. I often travel with my airbags fully inflated so I wanted to set the front shocks to the max height, can I do this without further mods such as replacing the control arm?

Also, with the 5100 set to max height can I install a 35" tire ??

    Thank you

You should not need UCA's at the 2.25'' front clip setting on the Bilsteins. As for stuffing a 35 in there, you can... As long as you are okay with cutting up your inner wheel well/ doing a body mount chop...

I run mine on full height + 2 shims (~3.25" total lift), with 35's and stock control arms. With that, I am at the limits of my alignment on the stock control arms. The ability to run 35's depends largely on what wheels you have. Mine are the stock 20" with KO2s. I did have to remove the little vestigial mud flaps from the front.
Without the shims, you may need to do some cutting / grinding.

For the rear, consider putting a proper lift, Even blocks in the back are better than riding on your airbags all the time.

I have same set up for 6 months now.....5100s all around with front at high setting and 1/2 inch from Toytec on front ......rear has 1 inch block but just placed order with Coachbuilder last night also for better ride and remove the block ......I am running 295 70 18 Nitto Ridge grapplers with some remolding of front liner and I did have to do the BMC but the Truck looks great with that tire size

What size coachbuilder shackle did you go with? Looking to do this in the spring. 5100’s all around, but want to keep some rake. May go with middle setting on front with shackles in back. Just trying to decide what size shackle. Only looking to raise about 1-1 1/2”. Will be getting an ARE cap and still keep some rake. Thanks.

Thanks! How much do you think the cap will drop the rear?

Procomp 3” with add a leaf. Everyone here said to get the bigger tires if that’s what I really wanted so I didn’t regret not doing it.
