I've learned so much from everyone in this community. Wanted to give a general shout out and "thanks" for all the great knowledge this forum provides.

I'm almost ready to sell my 2001 Tundra, i'd like to ask for general advice on how to land on the right sale price. I've done the research but wanted to see how others arrive at their sale prices.

I'll be buying a 2019 Limited CM. Only selling b/c my wife is all over me about more room for the family and lately, her request has reached a fever pitch (she's right, we're out of room in this truck).

SPECS: 2001 SR5 Limited, Access Cab, 4.7L V8, 4x2. Green exterior, Tan interior. Appx 164K miles but this is my daily driver so adding miles each week.

I've checked all the usual suspects: Craiglist, KBB, AutoTrader and the like, this forum, other forums, etc. Should i look somewhere else?

I see 2001's get listed from over 10K to less than 3K.

I know... depends on mileage, condition, wear-and-tear. Do i just go with my gut or use something more scientific? Have not been in the car market in a long time. This truck has been my daily driver and still runs perfectly.

I work from home and travel (by air) so i've only averaged 9,000 miles per year. That's why annual mileage is so low.

I know folks will make offers but what should i expect? I'm trying to avoid crazy low ball offers so that's why i'm asking. Thinking about asking $8,750, maybe more, haven't decided.

I'm traveling this week so I only have a few pics from a GoPro in my travel bag. Listing pics will be better.

    Thanks ya'll.

this truck looks very clean and well kept, i dont see why you won't be able to get your asking price.

Wow, you have a great looking truck. You should be able to get at least $10,000 for it look on other forums to see what they are going for and compare their trucks and asking price to yours

I was also going to say to start at $10k and set your lowest mark and hold out for at least that much. Around here, that could fetch 9-10k, just b/c it's a Toyota and 4x4.

Because 4x2 around here probs down near $5k. You have low miles which is a positive. The negative is not 4x4. Nice truck!

Rarely do nice 4x4’s 2000-2003 come up on craigsliss, but when they do and they are 4x4 in nice shape they go fast in the $7-10k range. Lots of rust buckets going for $1-2k range (parts basically).

2004-06 are absurd levels asking price $12-14k and they take a while to move.

I’d start $7k and see where it goes in negotiations. Then again you know your local market better.

You can always go down from an asking price but never up. So start high, unless you are selling it in this forum!!

Very Nice truck. 2wd are a lot harder to move. I would say somewhere between 5-6k. U can always ask more. But I like to move the cars faster. 2wd tundras in my area tend sit a long time.

I don't see leather seats. Are you sure it is a Limited trim level?

My 2000 limited TRD access cab doesn't have leather but, they have a special design cloth fabric that they use on the limited tundras only. I don't know why either??

yep, i’m sure it’s a Limited - i still have the original sticker that came on the truck.

it has the ‘special’ cloth fabric that @tenntundra mentioned. no idea what made it special but it seems to have held up really nice.

I would expect to get the "good" KBB private buyer price and you may have to wait a while to get that. Autotrader is a joke these days and really only set up for dealers. CL is pretty much the only way I have sold vehicles and a 4x2 in that condition will realistically get you that. You see all those 10k tundras on CL because they are not selling, the good deals move fast.
