Did it myself yesterday. Took approx. 5 hours. Small learning curve. Drives smooth and quiet as stock but will book an alignment.

Thanks to Napa for their blue Friday sale for the extra tools i needed! (Spring compressor and torque wrench)

Have some rubbing on the skid plates, full lock in reverse. Made it better by bending skid plate but still not resolved. I'm getting 1.25 wheel spacers to put on next week.

Thanks! It's pretty mild, but I use it off-road and for hauling all the time. Just needed something practical. Next thing might be some side steps or sliders.

I like your style sir. If it ain't practical I typically am not a fan. You got 4×4?

Yeah 4x4 sr5 plus with the 5.7. Definitely gets the job done. Heated seats are a bonus too. Nice and simple other than that haha

Very nice indeed. We have never needed 4×4 but the wife and I agree the next one will be and badges removed before bringing home.....therefore the neighbors don't ask us to help when their stupidity gets them stuck:thumbsup:

I agree. My neighbors son got his f150 stuck, since we don't have 4×4 I used his dad's(my neighbor who was on a cruise in the gulf at the time) f150 4×4 Shelby snake to get the boy out :D I like the 700+ hp but would not want to pay for the gadgets when the break

    Looks great.
    How's the rubbing issue?
My next mod is going to be 5100's up front on the middle setting and the Spidertrax 1.25" wheel spacers all around. I'm currently running stock 275/55/20 tires.

Slight rub in reverse at full lock. My spacers are 1.25 as well. Post pics when you get it done!

Looks good but is one of the photos actually from before the level, or just before the tires? Looks leveled even at the top with the skinny OEMs on.

Did you ever get this done on your truck? I am planning to do the same, but reading other forums is messing with my mind. They claim that the 5100 are not good, and that they are weak for the weight of the Tundra. I had the 5100 on my previous Tacoma and they were great!! Now I own a Tundra, planning to add the 5100, but not sure now.

Anyone with a bad experience at all with the 5100's middle setting on a Tundra?

    Thanks!!

They wouldn't make them for tundras if they were too weak. I've had no issues so far. They ride better than stock

Great!! So you got yours set on the middle, with the 1.25" spacers? No rear lift?

    Everything working fine? No rubbing?

Looks great. Do you have before and after measurements to the top of the wheel well, front and back? I'm trying to decide between 1.57 or 1.9.

Sorry its been 3 years, I can't remember now. I went middle because I wanted slight rake, if I remember correctly it was around an inch?. When I throw in a block or add a leaf next year I will go up to the top perch. I also have a canopy now so with aging springs and the weight I think it's damn near level.

10" BAMuffler // Bilstein 5100s all around & front on Mid setting // Toytec shackles // BHLM
These were my before and after measurements using the middle setting.
    Before 5100s:
    Driver Front - 36 3/4
    Passenger Front - 36 1/2
    Driver Rear - 39
    Passenger Rear - 40 1/8

    After 5100s:
    Driver Front: 38 3/8
    Passenger Front: 38 5/8
    Driver Rear: 39 1/4
    Passenger Rear: 39 1/4

After leveling I put a fiberglass Shell/Cap on and the truck looked perfectly level. What I didn't like was when hooked up to our TT, even with WDH, i was nose high. So my fix was to add the Toytec shackles to the rear using the top setting for 1.5" lift. This essentially gave me back the factory rake and looks better when the TT is hooked up.

So I'm new to this stuff and have a few questions so OP and others please jump in. I've been researching the forums about 5100's (and the 6112's). I like the leveled look with a little more beef in the wheel wells but I don't plan on doing more than fire/jeep roads for outdoor pursuits. Nothing technical. I'm also planning on towing a TT in the near future.

First, do the shackles lift the truck and your shocks are now at the top setting?

Second, did you all keep your OE springs with the 5100's or did you replace them with something else?

Third, do the shackles act as stops too or do they just lift the truck?

Mikekoot's truck looks like the way I want mine to look. Not overboard (to me) but a better stance. Does it ride better with just replacement shocks? Mine rides kinda like an apple cart according to the wife. I think it rides like a truck but if I can keep the chatter down about texting interruptions while I'm driving that'd be nice.
