Some %@$$@%@ pos stole my spare tire off my 2018 Tundra. Anybody have a spare spare in the Denver area, and advice on a good tire lock? Co@%#uckers would have gotten my tailgate too, if it wasn't locked.

If I find the bastard, I am not involving the police. I will cut his goddamn hands off.

This is the greatest part. The thieves live in close proximity, and I Know Where They Sleep....

Someone once ripped me off and I found 'em selling my stuff at the Flea market. I got some of my stuff back but they weren't arrested. By chance I found where they lived and paid a visit in the middle of the night. Armed with glass etching acid I painted "Effing Theives" on all the windows of their vehicle....... consider it Carma.

    Thanks buddy,
I bought the $20 one already! Gotta have something till I get this sorted. Meanwhile, cable lock and wheel lug locks are my next priority.

    Glad you found that one.

Skip the cable lock. A Gerber saw blade goes through in about 10 seconds. I found this out last year when my buddy lost his keys to his trailer wheel lock cable. I about shit on how fast that went through.

Could be worse, I mentioned in another thread my buddy’s old worthless head unit was stolen, the thief cut all the wires on the vehicle side. That’s a crapload of missing harness connectors, now bare wires, and a complete hassle to repair. Ya why take the time to unplug all of them, dick.

Hope your thieves get their karma!

I am going to start locking my tailgate from here on out. Just wish it had the remote lock like the rest of the truck. Going to look into the spare tire lock now as well. Sorry to hear about your troubles, totally sucks.

After hearing people stealing tailgates and spare tires is actually a thing, I’m locking my gate and spare too.

I would. The tailgate skin is 400.00, camera is 300.00, paint will most likely be another 3-400.00. Not sure what all the little plastic pieces cost and rekeying the tailgate to match your ignition key. Lord forbid you have Line-X.

I love the videos of people rigging bait packages on their front porch for theives. The best is the one that explodes and blows dog excrement all over them.

I also like the video of the thief bait bicycle with a stun gun rigging into the seat.

Anyone feel like making a tailgate and spare tire version?

I live and park in the city on the street, and woke up one morning and the whole street had been keyed. Truck was about three months old. Holy sh*t did I spend days plotting what I would do if I had caught him. I guess I can understand a crack head needing money for a fix, but some kid just being a dick to see the world burn. Still have the line along the passenger side. Front wheel well to back wheel well. Oh well.

Sorry to hear about your tire.

Why is it so satisfying to see someone get what's coming to them?

Maybe it could be like the squirrel slingshot trap that throws them out into a lake or used use those exploding dye packets for catching bankrobbers.

My grandpa accidently hit a bobcat with his car and knocked it out. He put it in a suitcase and left it on a street corner and watched until someone stopped and pulled it into a car.

The car started driving, the doors all opened, everyone bailed out (car still moving). The bobcat was apparently not a fan of awaking with an audience in close proximity.

If this hadn't happened 60 years ago I'm sure he would have gone to jail for it.
