I have a 2017 Tundra Limited. About 6 months ago I had to have the truck towed and in order to get it positioned for the tow truck he had to REALLY turn the steering wheel HARD with the engine off. I mean hard and multiple times to get the wheels to turn. Since then it seems I've noticed that the steering wheel will shake when I hit a bump/pot hole on one side or the other. This does not happen with every bump/PH. Overall the steering wheel feel loose and sloppy. The truck does not pull to one side or the other as it holds a straight line. Would this harm the steering? Is there a linkage that can be adjusted to correct this. What could cause this?

I took the truck back to the dealer and they say everything is fine. I'm not convinced they drove the truck long enough to see the issue. Is it normal for Tundra's to have loose steering? I cannot find any information on the net about this. I was thinking of taking truck to an independent mechanic to check out but not sure if they will accept the warranty.

I'm hoping this forum will help. TIA!

That’s too bad, nothing worse than a loose ride...

I mean other then maybe possibly if possible the tow guy had eaten to many wheaties this morning and did a hulk forcing of the suspension framous and steering du dad that maybe some seals on the power steering apparatus might have lost some force functionary design flow ? Or quite possibly the bolts bending tensile point was at a fractional disadvantage to the tow guys hulk grip?
