Florida has become the battleground on many fronts here in America. The one that is dearest to my heart is that of native wildlife fighting back to claim their land against all the none native species that have been terrorizing our state.

This is a Florida Bobcat (native), who has just caught its meal for the day....iguana (none native).

    Hooray for the bobcat!

You got that right. These invasive species are destroying our beautiful ecosystem. Just yesterday a guy caught a record size python which was more than 17 feet long.

Are they still paying a stupid amount of bounty for hunting pythons down there? I bet that monster brought in a few bucks.

Jesus I hope he killed that fucking thing. All those assholes releasing animals into the glades drove me nuts. Florida has so many things that want to kill you anymore. Spent most my life in the Clearwater area and I dont miss those headlines (or the snakes) one bit.

Me too. I'd rather tangle with the bobcat. At least I know what it is as opposed to whatever depths of hell that snake slithered out of.

Man I don't miss all those invasive species growing up in Miami. Those frickin lionfish are desimating the coral reefs. Have you eaten one yet? I know they are trying to get people to eat them as a cuisine to help reduce their staggering population in Florida.

Yup, he killed it. He got paid for it by the state too. You’re correct.....these people are bringing all sorts of shit into the country, through Florida. Yesterday, the cops had to catch a runaway camel down here in Florida as well.

Yup. If you’re brave enough to hunt them in the Everglades.

I lived in Miami in the 80's when the invasive species situation wasn't as bad as today, but I do remember that everything down there during my time was trying to kill you, bite you, sting you... good times.
