Hi guys, I am going to be doing the LED Sequoia light swap on my 07 RCSB and ran in to an issue with the DRL's (amber park lights) that I need to resolve so I can order a legit harness.

For some background, I ordered my headlights from a company that offered to send me a free harness to try out. If it worked, I could keep it. Cool, I thought. I received the harness and it was only for one side. So I could only really "try" it out and they would send me a full harness if it worked.

So I depinned the #5 DRL wire, connected to their lead to the relay. Connected everything else to the power/ground and connected to the new headlight. Only the low beam worked. Nothing else worked at all. I immediately took the harness out, repinned the DRL gray wire, and hooked the factory headlight back up. Everything works well except the DRL is not acting right now.

I did not verify all functionality prior to trying out this harness, but I know that normally my DRL would come on brightly with the truck running and then dim slightly when the low beams were turned on.

Now the DRL is only on when the truck is running, and turns off when the low beams are turned on. The DRL does not seem as bright with the truck running, but I cannot be 100% certain on this.

Obviously there are things I should have done differently, however I am hoping someone can help me troubleshoot this to get me back working correctly. Any schematics or procedure would be appreciated.

Shout out to one of the members on here that hit me with the wisdom on a PM. Turns out the tail lamp fuse was tripped by the harness and was causing the DRL issue. Replaced the tail lamp fuse and now I have working DRL's (and tail lights)
