So, one thing I miss about my Chevy truck was that it had a little led light that illuminated the drivers console (or cup area) where you can easily see at night. I also have this in my wife's 2018 Subaru Ascent.

Is there a mod or a way to install one? Has anyone done it before? The light source would be positioned in the overhead console.

    Thanks..

EDIT: It's ambient lighting.. LOL i sure feel stupid! sorry..

My 07 has one as well. Front side of console, pointed towards cup holders. I do not think the later models come with one.

You shouldn't have to! every other car/truck under the sun has one of those standard. WTH Toyota, WTH. I'd like to meet these design idiots.

Blame this dude, Mike Sweers. Obviously, his roots shows the true face for Tundras.. "Prior to joining Toyota, Sweers served as a project engineer with Chrysler Corporation from 1986 to 1990, and started his career at General Motors Oldsmobile Division, later becoming BOC J/N Platform."

    Chrysler! lol eww
