I make a point to only wave at tundra owners. But it's kinda hard to not wave at everybody. It's a small town thing I suppose. I do have a theory on how people wave tho.

    1 finger wave, means they're a farmer.
2 finger peace sign wave, young and hip.
Full 5 finger wave, means that person knows the other person.
Middle finger, you messed up or they also know you.

Haha...I wave but will say its typically a hybrid head nod 1 finger wave acknowledgment. Lots of haters in So Cal though with no return love lol . I used to have a sweet Challenger and those dudes are wavers..used to crack my wife up.

No matter how much you - I can try to talk to new people, body language, vibes tell you today is not the day for that person. And that’s ok. I know how to move on, no use in trying when the other makes no effort. Life goes on.

Oh there was a few pucker moments. I was white knuckleing a few times. Ready to grab the wheel. There may be also a dent in the floor from me trying to push the brake.

I really want to teach her stick shift. We have an 08 XB. But she’s having issues just keeping the car in its lane and understanding the rules yet. I learned on a stick shift. I swear I knew how to drive before I ever got behind the wheel. I pretty much understood all the laws. This kid was glued to her phone and iPod for too many years. No matter how many times I told her to pay attention because she’s going to need this in the future. I don’t want her ruining our car. I’m gonna wait until she’s got driving down packed. Then I’ll get her in It.
I’ve tried teaching my nieces and they just don’t understand or comprehend why you need to shift gears. I thought a lot of my friends to drive stick shift. It seems you kind of need to be into cars and understand the engine noises.

Today I was showing her how to downshift and turn off overdrive when going down hills. We drove all through Palos Verdes. Also not riding the brakes down the hills. Having her hit the brakes and then coast, hit the brakes and coast.

 Got your neck brace handy??
I dont think its so much being into cars as much as it is explaining the concept of the gears and being even with the shift pedal, ta least i realized that the next morning when i went off to school, stalled at every light and goin 45 on the fwy o_O

I’m home now. Now she’s out with the wife. I won’t let her drive my Tundra yet.

The best thing about all this, designated driver. I always had to stay sober going over to my bro in law‘s. Or family get togethers. No more!

I gotta say us girls need more practice behind the wheel, especially in this generation, too many distractions.
My sister's kid, my niece, she got hit in the fwy two weeks ago, hit n run. She was driving a Rav and overcorrected. Rolled a few times, landed on the tires. Car totaled and she and her bf shook up but walked away with scratches. Tow truck driving behind them witnessed and helped them.
Mind you shes almost 20 and took her dmv test like 4 times, i hope this doesnt keep her from behind the wheel...gotta learn n move on but geze, i was driving at 15!

I've want her to learn in the Tundra so she has a great perspective of being higher up , speed, breaking distance, etc than most cars. The shear size of the Tundra is the second reason. So far so good. I'm grooming her because the wife will not drive the Tundra at all. some day, have her drive me around. isn't that why we have kids. Im hoping to train her right. That way a small car will be easy. Yes I have to trust her eventually.:wave:
