Looks pretty good and I was careful, so hope it sticks!

Would like to see hownit looks back installed. Im still trying to figur3 out what color to go. Seems black white red or chrome are main options. Black probably wouldn't do much to change appearance. Chrome while I like that inlay wouldnt do much for chrome delete.

Really need to find someone that can do raised inlay with other colors

LOL. I would make it a coffee table. Great idea!! I will post a pic of it installed. And the brand. Has pretty good reviews on Amazon. Some sort of 3D raised lettering. ABS plastic .15 - .30 gauge. Looks like 3/16 to me. Flexible. The glue side looked good. Think they were about $20 that went straight to China I am sure.

Here it is on the truck. I like it for now, but this is the first I hear of tailgate thief’s! Mine has a couple dings in it and they will stay

Yup, if left unlocked they will take it. Some have gotten the pop n lock so it automatically locks with key Fab. Others just get a tail gate lock and place it on the tailgate attachment so it can't come off unless removed.

I am going to look that up. I work my ass off for what I get and I hate that some people when they see nice shit, want to take it or screw it up for others.

Thanks for the tip! I will order one! LOL I covered my plate to take an after pic and forgot the cover. Took off down the highway for a cruise and this is what I found. You can see the lettering from a like away BAF03EAF-D479-4C69-9281-8AB0266DC2CD.jpg

Another option is to put a heavy duty hose clamp around it. I did that and filled the screwdriver slot with JB Weld (have no reason to remove my tailgat). Oh! Just did the DIY Pop and Lock a couple weeks ago too.

So now the thieves just need a 5/16" socket, extension and rachet.

Not quite. The clamp I'm using is a heavy stainless steel with a slot for a standard screwdriver only, no hex head. The slot is filled with JB Weld so it's going to take a bit of effort to get that off.

If the want it that bad they can have it and I'll let insurance take care of it. It locks when I lock the truck now anyway so I'm not too worried about it.

Never seen without the hex head. I have been using the hose clamp for years.

That red insert looks really nice!!! I think I'll rather stick with the chrome OEM option I've seen at sparks

When you install the "TUNDRA" lettering, do you install the letters individually or do they come in a strip to lay in and square up? Thanks for any tips on the install part.

Depends where you got them from. Some are on a stripe you line up. Others are single letters you do individually. Mine where done individually. Its really easy.

Tim is right, they come both ways. If you buy one on a strip like i did, i would recommend cutting them into individual letters and installing them that way.
