My first vehicle with a backup camera, never thought I'd use the camera much but starting to use it more and more. My issue is at dark, I still like to use my mirrors and I find the screen messes me up a little when looking towards the passenger side(to bright in the cab). The camera itself at dark is not the clearest, I've messed with the brightness and contrast with little success. I've seen where mybe LED bulbs may help? Where do you have your bright and contrast settings at? Im now one notch over half with each.

The issue is light. If you increase lumens from reverse and license plate bulbs you may get better results. LEDs should help. The camera is just limited from daylite vs. night.

I agree. More light at night will give you a better visibility. I installed a plug and play led tow hitch light bar and it works very well for me. You can also upgrade your factory backup camera to one that has more led lights for darkness.

I’m actually really surprised how much light my stock setup throws out. But add a rigid light or two back there if you want.
