Low Beams Are Out!!!

The other morning, I started my truck up and when I turned the headlights on, the both immediately shut off. This happened a couple months ago to, so I bought new ones, replaced them and they worked fine even though I thought it was weird that they would both burn out at the same time. Also while driving to work, all the lights on my dash light up at once, then my truck sounded like it wanted to stall out. Don't know what the deal is, but my fuses are good, battery is good and like I said, the headlights are just a few months old. Help please!

I had a similar issue on a previous vehicle. It’s unlikely for them both to go out at the same time unless there’s a short somewhere. The problem I found on my previous vehicle was the headlight relay was bad. I tested this theory by swapping it with another relay (same PN) that I knew was working from the fuse box.

 

I am not a tech but I would guess it's a relay.
