The daytime amber running lights are annoying to me and seem senseless, is there a way to disarm them? Another problem when the headlights are on everything dims on the dash, my 2007 was the same way and I put up with it for 11 yrs. I thought by 3rd gen they would of realized what a pain that is. I'm sure its some kind of senseless safety bs like the fact you can't change your gps settings while the vehicle is in motion even if the passenger tries to do it.
    thanks in advance

Search for retro install or switchbacks. It involves depinning or cutting grey wire at connector behind driver side kick panel

    Still rocking the stock height.
As for the dash lights dimming, I thought that it was something that I was going to have to live with as well. Then someone on here posted about being able to turn the lights up. Its the same stick that you use to re-set the trip millage with. Turn it, its turns the dash lights up. At least it did on my 16 SR5.

In order to enable the apps on your head unit while in motion look at the frac harness. It has a bypass switch for that.

    Amber DRL delete:

Cut or depin the gray wire with a thumb tack and tape it off.

Turn signals and hazards still work.

Entune? I’m pretty sure you can adjust it from the settings menu within the entune head unit.

** Hate to reopen and old thread, but

Is this the same for a 2010? I don't have DRL, I wonder if the previous owner did something like this? is that possible? Or did 2010 RW not have them?
