I have a 2016 TSS edition. The truck came with 20x9 TSS wheels with 285/55 BFG A/T KO2’s. I bought some Fuel Mavericks 20x9 with 285/55 BFG KO2’s, the wheels didn’t accept the factory sensor so I had to buy aftermarket sensors for the wheels. I had the tire shop set the sensors with the truck and the took it by a Toyota dealership just to double check. The dealership said the programmed the sensors with the truck and it’s been about 5k miles and the fault is still intermittent. Any tips would be greatly appreciated

Does that fault go inactive whenever you are parked near your original wheels / sensors, and come back active after driving a while?

If not, do you know what the fault code number or description is? Without any of that, the best I can say is "Sum Ting Wong". And unless you have the tooling to deal with it yourself, revisiting the dealer is my best suggestion.

Welcome to Tundras.com, it's a fun place if you hang around.

No the fault will randomly come on and go away, I can’t seem to find anything that sets it off. Also it doesn’t throw any codes, I actually took it by a shop today and even with the light on they couldn’t get a code out of it. I’ve read mixed threads on if the new tundras have a sensor in the spare or not and it would be awesome to figure that out. Also I have reset the TPMS button about 5 times now, one time letting it blink 3 times and letting it sit for about 15 minutes, and I’m still getting the fault. I’m to the point where I’m about to tear apart my dash and just take out the light.

Stupid question, but your tire pressures are all good, right?

And does the light stay on steady, or blink?

Yeah they’re all at 49 like the sticker in the door says. It’s blinking or steady really. When it’s on it stays steady but it never stays on for more than 5-8 minutes and then goes away for about 4-5 minutes and comes back on

    Could it be the spare?
