I've had my Tundra since 2007 and the whole time caused by tire changeovers those tire pressure sensors have not been working and I have not cared, just ignored the light on the dash. Today I went to BCAA to have my tire changed over to winters. They said they can't do this unless the sensors are all instaled fixed and working. The excuse was insurance companies won't cover you if during an accident the tires are low. Anyone else running into this.

What is wrong with your sensors? Bad battery? Not synced? Broken? I also think that shop is full of crap saying that.

They don't work and haven't for years. Something I never worried about repairing to be damaged again every time they changed the tires over. Just another BS sensor thing to cost you money repairing when I can see if my tires are low by looking at them.

The sensors are dead in my wife’s XB. Tire shop could give a crap. America’s tires. The low tire light was on and everything. I just make sure they don’t charge me for rebuild that I know is not going to work. From my understanding you can’t just replace the batteries you have to replace the whole sensor. Sounds like they just want more money from you.

I'd try a different tire shop

Wow that’s a really good deal! I wish I would’ve found that out before we replaced her tires.
