So got my truck back from the dealership from getting the camshaft tower seal fixed and was checking everything over and saw that when they did the alignment a week before I brought it in for the leak repair, the rectangular washer that supposed to go in the slot is not in the slot. I posted both sides. How bad is it to leave it like this? Or should I jack the truck up and fix the washer without moving the position of ball joint? Obviously I’m going to need another alignment, but should I fix it before I drive it back 15 miles to the dealership or leave it be? 4A2A3501-B7C9-49C4-81FD-7E040D42E5CF.jpg78EB02EA-4457-41CC-91D4-072A74E22240.jpg

Here’s my driver side from 2 different angles for reference. If it was my truck I would fix it now and then go back for a realignment. That top nut is torqued to 250lbs I believe so should hold during moderate daily driving. Still, I wouldn’t risk it. You can fix that yourself in 5 min per side.

I fixed it. But ya I’m going to need another alignment. Great. The dealership just had my truck for three weeks to fix that camshaft tower seal. Big ordeal that I don’t care to talk about at the moment cause they didn’t replace my leaking water pump even though the paperwork says they did. So two issues even though they had it for 3 weeks.
